Chapter 1942 New Job

  • Serena shifted her focus back to the drafts in her hand, but she continued speaking to Cindy. “You’ll be sitting there from now on. That’s your spot.” Serena pointed at a spot, and Cindy turned around to find an office table that had been emptied out for her. “Okay, I got it,” Cindy replied hastily.
  • Serena didn’t say anything after that, and Cindy was too scared to walk off, so she stayed beside the rest of the apprentices and waited for Serena to give her directions. Serena wasn’t looking at her own drafts, but those that were made by one of her apprentices. Once she looked through the drafts, she pointed out all of the flaws that she found in them. She spoke in a rather stern tone, and her expression was dark as she pointed out some obvious issues. It was as if she were implying that those mistakes shouldn’t have been made.
  • Cindy knew that these well-known designers had rather odd temperaments, just like Yulia did. However, she couldn’t stop her heart from racing when she saw the way Serena acted. Cindy knew that a newbie like her was certainly going to make a bunch of mistakes in the future, but she would learn from it. I don’t even want to imagine how badly she’s going to criticize me in the future.
