- Ian pursed his lips and stared at the front door for a moment. “She should be fine. It’s better this way, honestly.” At least it’s better than her yelling at him in the hospital. At least she didn’t hit him back there. They hadn’t met for decades, so of course she’s going to feel all melancholic after they meet.
- Aurora took the elevator up herself. When Ian and Cindy reached their unit, she was already in her room, and the door was closed.
- Cindy hesitated for a moment, then she went to stand outside Aurora’s room and muttered, “What do you want for lunch, Aurora? I’ll make them for you.”
