Chapter 63

  • Peyton started waving her hands around and chanting in a strange language. I couldn't understand what she was saying, and she was speaking so softly that it was almost impossible for me to hear with my werewolf hearing. But she grabbed some powder out of a bowl and started sprinkling that over Aurora's body while still chanting.
  • I noticed Peyton's breathing was getting a little labored, and she was struggling. It was using all of her energy to do this spell, but she didn't need a book or anything to do what she was doing.
  • She knew the spell all along. She just chose not to do it because she didn't think she could. That's what pissed me off the most. She was going to let her daughter suffer without even trying.
