Chapter 25

• The entire Protector's pack joined in and attacked the ogre from all angles until it started screaming and yelping in pain. It was obvious that the thing couldn't talk, but it couldn't take on the whole pack. So it started kicking away all of the wolves and backing away so that it could get away from us, and it started running back towards the trees. Where it came from.
• The wolf pack started howling in victory, but I looked over, and I saw Connor looking back at me.
• "What’s wrong?" I mind-linked Connor.
