Chapter 38

• I was really interested to know what that pack had against me. I mean, we were far enough away from each other so that they weren't going to get pulled into any of our problems. And they could turn a blind eye if they wanted to. We weren't asking for their help, and Connor would never do that anyway. He was the Alpha of the Protectors. He would be the last person to ask for help.
• After breakfast Connor left the house to go and see Alpha Joshua while I cleaned the kitchen, and I was really curious about what was going on.
• I could see Connor disappear into the woods behind our house, but that was as far as I could see. The border was a lot further through the woods, and Alpha Joshua wasn't coming near the border. So, Connor would have to walk out there a fair way before he found him.
