• I heard Connor get back to the house, and I quickly put a thick bandage over the injury, and I pulled my shirt down again. I didn't want him to see it because he would have too many questions, and I didn't have the answers to any of them.
• This was just something else that was in the question mark zone. Which was getting bigger by the day.
• I went back to the living room, and Connor was standing there with Evelyn and Hadley. I knew that something was going on, but none of them were speaking.
