Chapter 31

• Connor had realized that they noticed me standing there, and he got between us, and he ordered me back in the cave.
• Vampires and werewolves were mortal enemies. They have been at war for centuries, and when they're not actually battling it out on the battlefield, then they are trying to work out how to wipe out the other species. But as I stood there, in the presence of these vampires, I could tell that something was off about them.
• I didn't go back into the cave like Connor had ordered me. Instead, I stepped out of the cave, and I walked right up behind Connor.
