Chapter 29

• I was standing behind Connor, and my eyes practically popped out of my head when I saw the werebear running towards us.
• Connor pushed me back and took a few steps closer to the bear so that he could shift, and when he did, he was only about half the size of the bear. But he was going to fight it with everything that he had.
• I was terrified for Connor. I thought this thing was going to kill him. And I wasn’t sure how he was going to get out of it. But Connor charged at the bear, and the bear let out a loud roar, expecting the attack. Like he was looking forward to it. Like he was wanting it.
