Chapter 9

• Samantha was planning to check on Jade's progress with the work, but got caught up with several assignments given by Kerry. Just as she was about to go see the girl, she received a call that her husband had been in a work accident. She went to Kerry's office to ask for permission. She knocked on the door and entered when she heard his voice inviting her in.
• She barely entered without looking up from the computer where she was working, he spoke to her in a dry tone " What do you want? I imagine that if you have dared to bother me it is because what you have to inform me is too important. Speak up! I don't have all the time to waste with you."
• " Excuse me boss, but if it weren't important, I wouldn't bother you. I need to leave, they just notified me that my husband had a work accident " the distressed woman stated.
