The girl looked up at him suspiciously. "So it wasn't revenge," she thought. The man noticed and just shrugged without giving any explanation.
Together they walked to his office, he still struggling a bit with the pain from his wounds, although just a moment ago when he was trying to push Jade away from Anderson, he felt no pain. They sat at the round table and started working together, exchanging ideas that they developed together.
For hours, they dedicated themselves to reviewing the programming language and developing the software, laughing at Kerry's jokes, who showed a playful side that he didn't even know he had.
