• At first, Jade felt excited about the offer made by Anderson's father to pay for her father's operation. However, when he mentioned that he would help her in exchange for a favor, her alarms went off. Numerous hypotheses crossed her mind, but she ended up dismissing them.
• She even scolded herself for thinking negatively and trying to overshadow the man's good intentions with those thoughts. She silently thanked her lucky stars that Mr. Maverick Thompson was willing to cover her father's expenses. Therefore, she enthusiastically and with the utmost willingness responded affirmatively.
• "Of course, Mr. Maverick, I am at your service for whatever you need," she said, touched. "I am truly grateful that you have offered to help me operate on my father. It means a lot to me. I think we can treat it as a loan, and I would repay the amount as soon as possible. I assure you, you will not regret it."
