Chapter 45

• Early Monday, Jade arrived at Kerry's office and sat in the adjacent room to wait for the man to receive her. Impatience consumed her, she had mixed feelings. On one hand, she was a bit nervous about what would come out of the meeting with Kerry that day and the darn contract he wanted her to sign. On the other hand, she was very happy because her father had a better weekend and good news had been given to her before leaving the hospital.
• Someone anonymously paid for all the expenses that would be generated by her father's operation, and they had even scheduled the surgery for Wednesday. This eased all her anxieties, knowing that her father would be okay.
• Without a doubt, that was the best news she had ever received in her life. It had calmed her down a bit, but she couldn't stop thinking about who had been her benefactor. She wanted to know, so she could show him her infinite gratitude.
