Jade left the office with her father and got into the ambulance to accompany him as they transferred him to the hospital. Desperation gripped her as if it were the claws of a fierce animal, threatening to destroy her. She felt that things were getting harder for her and she was completely sunk in the mud.
She never thought that her father would find out and would not accept the operation with the money from the sale of the information about Kerry. She knew she had behaved shamefully towards him, betrayed him, but her intention was never to harm him, she just wanted to solve her father's health situation and never imagined that Mr. Maverick would turn against the consortium.
She was suspended in despair because at that moment her father was being attended to, while she waited in the small waiting room submerged in her memories, but also attentive to the information they gave her about her father.
