Whoa, that’s exactly what I need! Ah, I see what’s happening now. Gordon must have talked to Rosalie about this. That was why she argued with me after Younus’ death, then she would have an excuse to goad Fabian into giving me this offer. Fabian disliked me, so keeping me away from Rosalie would surely be what he wanted too. In that case, sending me to take over Younus’ spot would be hitting two birds with one stone.
He would think he was sending me away to a remote area, while he could stay beside Rosalie. This d*mned hypocrite would think he could separate us by saying he was taking care of things, but this was exactly what I needed.
I snorted. “Fine. I don’t want to see her anyway. She thinks she’s all that because of her looks. Annoying.”
“Alright, stop fighting, you two,” he said. “You guys are family, so calm down. Jonathan, you take over Younus’ job. Once you’ve calmed down, which I believe you’ll make it quick, I’ll switch you back in, okay?”
I sneered quietly, for I knew he would come up with a ton of excuses to keep me outside the wall, but that was what I wanted. “Sure.” I nodded.
Rosalie then told him, “Let’s go. I don’t want to see him anymore.”
