• Jared had exploded in pure happiness at the news of being a big brother and he had started crying when I told him. He wanted to start on the nursery immediately and we had to explain to him that we didn’t know if it was a boy or a girl yet. His excitement was rubbing off on us and even I wanted to get a headstart on the nursery.
• “I don’t care, we can paint it green! That works for a boy or a girl,” he said.
