• The following morning, I took a cab back to the hospital and was admitted. I was wondering how long it would take for the parasites to grab the story because I had not played last night’s game and I knew that Coach would’ve been asked those questions immediately afterward, which meant that it would go to print today.
• The operation itself took an hour and I woke up to Endri and Luke’s smiling faces with no pain. Luke held a plastic cup with a straw to my mouth and I took a sip as Endri started taking clothes out of my bag. I lifted my wrist and looked at the bandage around the splint.
• “I know this’ll be awkward but us dressing you is better than those salivating nurses outside,” Endri said as I smiled.
