• I didn’t know how to feel as I sat waiting for the departure gate to open. This wasn’t something I could do over the phone. Denise wasn’t lying about having known Alexander so I had to know if she was lying about him being my biological father, it would explain too many things if he was.
• I was angry, pissed off, raging inside myself and I had no clue what to do with the information swirling around in my head. Madison knew the truth about me too now, she had thrown it back in my face and I didn’t even want to think about what was going through her mind.
• I had plenty of time to think about everything during the seven-hour flight and when I left the airport to rent a car, I felt slightly calmer. I didn’t even know if I could be mad at him. I didn’t trust Denise, in fact, I hated her.
