Chapter 52
- What the hell? What did I say wrong this time? My frustration grew as I finally went to my own room and climbed into bed. I was surprised that I didn’t fall asleep immediately but when I heard Madison return after Jared’s school run, I closed my eyes and drifted off.
- I woke up to a cold cup of coffee on the bedside table and I saw that it was eleven a.m. I had only slept about four hours but if I slept anymore then I wouldn’t sleep tonight. I ventured out into the living room and Madison’s door was still firmly shut.
- I made coffee for myself and flicked the television on but kept the sound low, so I didn’t wake her up. I didn’t know why she felt that she needed to hide this from me. Was I that terrible? Maybe I should talk to Alexander, he always had the best advice.
