Chapter 64

• Madison was back to ignoring me. She didn’t answer when I called her and only responded to texts when it concerned Jared. She had sent me a message stating that she’d drop Jared off at my penthouse on Sundays and when I took him home, she’d wait just inside the building’s front door for him, giving me no excuse to go inside to try and talk to her.
• A week later I finally got the all-clear from my doctor to resume my normal training schedule with the team. The rumors were still going around that some of us might be traded although nothing official had been said yet.
• I didn’t have a great season and my contract was expiring soon and I had no idea if the Rangers would renew it or not. Draft weekend was three months away and it was during this time when most trades were made for the new season.
