• Vangie rushed back to her house. She’d tried to catch up with the three of them, but they were already gone. Apparently, they had just gotten into a van. She had even asked Sheila’s nephew to help look for them—only to find out he was the one who dropped them off at the station!
• “Sheila, you’re dead to me,” Vangie muttered through gritted teeth. She had tried calling her friend multiple times, but her calls wouldn’t go through. It looked like they even turned off their phones. She was growing anxious for Joseph.
