Chapter 18 A Moment Before We Go

• Vangie woke up early to cook noodles. That's what Bert said he would contribute to their outing. He had already asked for permission from him a long time ago. He didn't plan to stop him, but Bert said he respected him, so he wanted to know what he was doing. For him, it's fine to avoid stress. He doesn't have to think too much about what he's doing anymore. Especially since he doesn't use a cellphone, he said he's not used to it. They said gadgets are just a hindrance. Before the day of their outing, Bert already slept at his house and didn't go home anymore. He only left in the morning to get his clothes for the outing.
• A little while later, Vangie finished cooking. She didn't open the store anymore and just prepared for their departure. It's already nine o'clock and they said they would meet at the beach at twelve. Even though he didn't want to leave and go with Bert, he also didn't want him not to enjoy. He didn't want to stop her from doing what she wanted while they were in a relationship. He is nervous and feeling cold while waiting for his girlfriend. He didn't know what the reaction of his former classmates would be. It was ten o'clock when Bert returned to her.
