Chapter 21 Truth Or Dare

• After their swim, they returned to the cottage. Vangie’s knees wobbled from the cold and exhaustion as they walked. Bert had his arm around her, which didn’t escape Shane’s sharp gaze. His eyes narrowed as if he wanted to swallow them whole. Vangie ignored him and sat in her usual spot.
• Bert took a jacket from their bag and draped it over Vangie’s back. The cold water had sobered him up a bit from earlier.
