• Vangie hurriedly walked away. She couldn't handle what Shane had said. It made her feel like she wasn’t good enough for Bert. What was wrong with her? Her feelings for him were real. Just because she was older didn’t mean her love wasn’t true. And besides, he was the one who showed interest in her first!
• Tears streamed down Vangie’s face.
• “You’re so stupid! Why did you even get involved?” she scolded herself. She kept walking until she reached the wooded part of the beach. She suddenly stopped. “Why did I even listen to that woman?” she sighed in frustration.
