Chapter 73 Supplies

• I calmed down a lot over the past couple of days. The feeling of dread that I had, the fear that Steven was going to pop up, has greatly diminished. I know he’s looking for me, and Evan has discussed with me what we can do about that. While we are getting things taken care of, we will stay here where we are off the grid.
• We decided to go for a walk in the woods to get out of the house. Cooper went ahead of us, and Evan was waiting for me at the bottom of the steps. When I reach him, I place my hands on his shoulders and lean in. His lips are soft against mine, and I can’t help the moan that escapes my lips. Evan and I have been inseparable since we got back from the city. We’ve been rekindling what we had all those years ago, and I love it. I know we probably shouldn’t be this close with everything that’s going on. I’m still a legally married woman, and I’m not one that condones cheating. Evan is single, but we have Steven hanging over our heads. The smart thing to do would be to wait until we settle all of the issues in our lives and then see if there is something still between us.
