Chapter 54 Outing

• It’s been days since our confrontation, of sorts. Evan and I have barely spoken other than a good morning or see you tomorrow. I’ve been recovering and spending all of my time with Cooper. I hate that I missed so much of his childhood, but I’m grateful I’m here now. I will take anything I can get and cherish it.
• Cooper has shown me around the property, and I have to say that I’m impressed. It’s a lovely cabin, and it’s located in such a serene spot. Those trips around the cabin have been short because I’m still recovering. I get winded pretty quickly and have to take many breaks. Cooper doesn’t seem to mind and is extremely patient with me.
