Chapter 68 Close Like Before

• Evan was gone for hours, leaving Cooper and I to fend for ourselves. We watched movies and played games on his tablet. My son has very eclectic tastes, reminding me so much of Evan. When we were in school, he was always different from everyone else. He differed in the music he liked and the things that would interest him. Many wouldn’t take the time to try to get to know him or meet him in the middle, but that made more time for me.
• The door to the other room opens and closes quietly. Cooper has been asleep for a while, and I’ve been lying awake in bed. I had no idea where Evan was, or if he was okay, so I couldn’t settle in for the night.
