Chapter 53 Ultimatum

• I ring the doorbell and wait for the door to be opened. I don’t have to wait long as the door swings open to a man in a suit. “Good Afternoon, sir.” I nod and walk into the house. Every time I’m here, I’m in awe at the size of the place. I’ve been here enough that you’d think I’d be over it by now.
• I follow the man down the hall, and he leaves me in front of the double doors. They are slightly open, and at this moment, I want to turn around and leave. I know this will be something I have no interest in, but how can I say no to the meeting? I push the doors open and walk inside.
• He’s sitting at a massive wooden desk, looking over some papers. I sit quietly in front of the desk, trying to keep my nervousness to myself. He slides a folder over to me but never looks up. I carefully pick up the folder and open it. I read the top of the document that’s inside, and I’m instantly pissed. He can’t be fucking serious right now, can he?
