• The snow fell faster than expected this season. I was happy to be accepted to work at one of the largest cosmetics companies in the city. My previous resume listed a marketing position at Queency Group, which enabled me to work at another company in the same field as Lucas’s.
• Two months passed without anyone from my past life coming to look for me. No Lucas, no Davidson pack, not even Daniel. There was only me, my new life, and my babies. With the birth of my babies approaching, I requested early leave from work.
• That night, I had just left the office building where I worked and was heading to the taxi I had ordered to pick me up. The snow was falling quite heavily that night, and it covered some of the main roads.
