Chapter 50

  • A painting of a village at the foot of a mountain at night under a full moon kept me transfixed for hours as I gazed at it. The full moon, a perfect white circle, stood out prominently in the painting. However, I loved the atmosphere of the painting, which exuded the tranquility of the night, holding all the secrets of the universe within the darkness.
  • I smiled at the magical atmosphere as if the full moon's light was falling on me, warming me. I moved to another painting on my right, a full moon among black clouds. The silhouette of a forest was depicted below the full moon, and I stared at the painting without blinking. My mind thinks of dreams; the woman in my dreams is myself.
  • A force pulls me into the white full moon in the painting, as if I am tearing open memory and looking inside. A woman is illuminated by the full moon's light and floats in the air, her hair as black as night cascading down her back. The night airwaves her hair gracefully. Her face is as white as the full moon's light, and her lips are red as roses with perfectly carved jawlines.
