Chapter 16

• I wore natural makeup with peach-coloured lipstick to make my face look fresher and less pale. My morning sickness returned while I was getting dressed. I thought it would only flare up in the morning, but it knows no time. At seven o'clock, Daniel sent me a message asking for the room number of my apartment. After not waiting long, Daniel was already at my door.
• "Hi, thanks for accepting my offer for dinner." I smiled at Daniel, who seemed silent momentarily, looking at me without blinking. I furrowed my brows to see Daniel like a dummy in front of me.
• "Daniel?! Are you okay?" I waved my hand left and right in front of his face to get him out of his reverie.
