• "What? Tonight?" I couldn't hide my feelings of surprise at this point. Lucas looked at me with a flat gaze but frowned faintly for a few seconds.
• "Yes, tonight. The Queency Corporation's birthday party is tonight. That's why you don't have to be too busy with your work since you're the new manager." Lucas commented on my new position in his company. That change in position led to the beginning of my animosity with Cassandra.
• Although she was transferred to another division, I took over as the new manager, with Lisa as my assistant manager and Lori. I needed two assistant managers because we had a lot of work to do. What's more, I was pregnant, and my physical strength was starting to wane a bit.
