Chapter 28
- When someone knocked on my bedroom door, I applied strawberry-scented lip tint on my lips in front of the mirror. I glanced at the door through the mirror and didn’t answer until I had completely tidied up my appearance. The knocking stopped for a few seconds and returned, but this time, it was louder and seemed to want to smash the door.
- “Oh, gosh, calm down, give me some time,” I complained as I rolled my eyes and canceled, applying the compact powder to my face. I went to open the door, and Lucas was standing in front of my bedroom door, one of his hands hanging in the air and clenched into a fist.
- “If you want to talk to me just wait for me at the dining table.” I closed the door again after saying that sentence with a flat and slightly annoyed face.
