Chapter 22

• I had to stay late because Mr. Robinson wanted me to work on the details of the marketing methods report. At first, I tried to refuse, but he told me that Mr. Larson was on probation and that I would most likely replace his position as assistant manager.
• It was good news, but I was still bothered by my fight with Lucas today. The other two employees left before me because I still had to finalize some details. At nine o’clock in the evening, all my work was done, and I copied it on my flash drive and stored it in the documents section of my computer.
• Just as I was about to walk towards the elevator, the lights suddenly went out, and it was dark. I automatically stopped and turned on my phone’s flashlight. Still, in the next second, someone grabbed me by the neck and choked me until I had trouble breathing and pushed my body against the wall.
