Chapter 26

• Daniel seemed excited about his birthday tonight. The man offered me a seat at a high bar table and ordered orange grapefruit juice while he excused himself to greet his other guests who had just arrived.
• A man came and sat next to me. At first, I thought he would order a drink and leave, but he greeted me.
• “Hi, you’re Daniel’s friend, right?! What kind of friend? Do you and him have a special relationship?” The man’s question made me smile and then chuckle.
