Chapter 20

• I woke up earlier than usual, and my memory replayed my celebration with Lisa last night. It was one of my precious moments. If only my mom had been here, she would have been happy to hear this good news. I showered and then went to the kitchen to make breakfast. Rebecca came in a few minutes later.
• “Goodness, My Lady, why are you here so early? Here, let me make it, you sit over there. You know, a woman with a young pregnancy shouldn’t be doing too much.” Rebecca reprimanded me as she took over my pancake-making work.
• I smiled understandingly and went to the refrigerator for cold guava juice and glasses. I sat down at the kitchen mini bar table.
