Chapter 34 The True Identity

• While Eve was deep in thought, she noticed a small pond nearby. Without thinking twice, she ran to it and splashed water on her face, trying to clean herself as best as she could. She looked down at the muddy bottom of the pond, and an idea came to her.
• Eve scooped up the mud and used it to dirty her dress, covering the bloodstains. Then she walked back toward the party and looked for one of the maids.
• She deliberately made herself visible to the guests but didn’t speak to any of them, ensuring they saw her disheveled appearance. Though it raised questions, at least it drew their attention away from the chaos.
