Chapter 7 Beautiful Affair
- Damian whispered in a low, husky voice right in front of Kimberly’s lips. His strong body pressed her even closer, leaving her unable to move away from him at all. The look in the handsome man’s eyes was like that of a hungry lion staring at Kimberly.
- “Bastard!” Kimberly’s expression changed at Damian’s vulgar words. Her emotions flared. She was about to raise her hand to slap Damian, but unfortunately, he moved too quickly. Damian easily caught her hand and pinned it above her head.
- “Let me go, you jerk!” Kimberly struggled with all her might.
- “A woman like you shouldn’t be using such foul language, Kim.” Damian kissed Kimberly’s neck. His breath caressed her skin, making her whole body shiver.
- Kimberly closed her eyes and bit her lip hard as Damian’s breath successfully ignited a fire of passion within her. Shit! She cursed her body for responding to Damian’s touch.
- “L–let me go, Damian! I’m your nephew’s wife!” Kimberly managed to say with difficulty.
- Damian smiled mysteriously. He pulled his face back and stared deeply into Kimberly’s hazel eyes. “Well, your relationship with your husband is already strained, isn’t it? Why should I care about status now? Besides, even now your husband has never touched you. Remember, Kim, that night you came to me on your own. So, don’t blame me for being unable to let you go.”
- “I was drunk, you bastard! If I hadn’t been drunk, there’s no way I would have slept with my husband’s uncle! My mind is still sane enough! I’m not like you, taking advantage of someone who’s drunk!” Kimberly snapped, her breath ragged and her anger about to explode.
- Damian seemed to enjoy Kimberly’s anger, finding it incredibly sexy. “I never took advantage. That night, you were the one who invited me to spend the night together. As a normal man, how could I refuse, hmm?”
- “You’re a bastard, Damian!” Kimberly cursed, unable to hold back her emotions any longer.
- The sound of someone banging on the restroom door made Kimberly turn her gaze toward it. Reflexively, Damian released the woman he had trapped.
- “Kimberly? Are you in there?” Carol called from outside the restroom, her voice loud enough to be heard.
- Kimberly’s face turned pale when she heard Carol calling her. Shit! She must have been in the restroom too long, making her friend come after her. No! She couldn’t let Carol find out about this damned scandal.
- “Move!” Kimberly pushed Damian’s body out of her way and hurried out of the restroom.
- “Kim? You took so long. Why was the door locked? I thought you fell asleep in there,” Carol said, exhaling in annoyance as she saw Kimberly come out.
- “I had a stomachache,” Kimberly lied.
- “Stomachache? What did you eat to get a stomachache?”
- “I don’t know. Suddenly my stomach hurt a lot. I’m going home first. I want to rest.”
- “If I’m here alone, how will I get home? I already told my driver to leave earlier. I’d feel bad if I asked him to come back. Fine, let’s just go home together. I have things to do tonight anyway. But before we leave, we should say goodbye to Jennisa. It would be rude not to.”
- Kimberly nodded in agreement.

- “Kimberly? Carol? Where have you two been?” Jennisa asked when she saw Kimberly and Carol entering the hotel ballroom.
- “Kimberly and I were in the restroom. Jennisa, sorry, but we have to leave early. There are things we need to take care of. Sorry we can’t stay longer at your birthday party. Once again, happy birthday, Jennisa. Wish you all the best,” Carol said on behalf of both of them, her face showing a graceful and friendly smile.
- Kimberly, standing beside Carol, remained mostly silent, as if reluctant to speak.
- “It’s a pity you have to leave so soon. But it’s okay, I understand. Next time, we can meet again,” Jennisa replied warmly and gently.
- Kimberly smiled along with Carol in response to Jennisa’s words. The next moment, they made their way to leave. However, just as Kimberly and Carol were about to exit the hotel ballroom, they stopped in their tracks when they ran into Damian, who had just entered.
- “Hi, Damian,” Carol greeted, flashing a smile at the handsome man.
- “Hi,” Damian replied flatly to Carol.
- Kimberly’s breath felt heavy every time she faced Damian, especially with the memory of what had happened in the restroom. Damian’s vulgar words kept echoing in her mind. Shit! How foolish she was to respond to Damian’s touch. Luckily, Carol had come after her in the restroom. Otherwise, who knows what might have happened.
- “Are you going home, Kim?” Damian asked in his deep, characteristic voice.
- “Yes, Uncle. My husband is waiting for me at home. I have to go,” Kimberly replied calmly, her eyes cold and distant.
- Damian smiled meaningfully. “Alright, take care. It was nice seeing you at the party, Kim.”
- “I’ll excuse myself. Enjoy the party, Uncle.” Kimberly replied, stressing the word ‘uncle,’ then motioned for Carol to leave with her.
- As the two women left, Damian’s gaze lingered on Kimberly’s back. The way she walked with such grace, her beautiful figure, her alluring curves, and her firm, tempting hips made Damian’s imagination wander back to Kimberly’s bare body. A smirk appeared on his lips. That fantasy would never be forgotten.
- “Damian? Where have you been?” Jennisa asked as she approached Damian.
- “I just met a friend,” Damian replied flatly.
- Jennisa sighed deeply. “Alright. Oh, by the way, your nephew and her friend already left.”
- “Yes, I know. I just saw them.”
- “By the way, do you often meet Kimberly?”
- Damian was silent for a moment at Jennisa’s question. He took a glass of champagne from a passing waiter, sipped it slowly, and replied casually, a mysterious smile on his face, “I rarely see her, but these past few days, I’ve been running into her quite often.”

- The sports car Kimberly was driving sped through Los Angeles. Carol looked a little shocked and scared as her friend drove like someone with no regard for the rules.
- “Kim, if you want to kill yourself, do it alone! I’m not ready to die, Kim. You know, I’m not even married yet!” Carol protested.
- “Shut up, Carol! Do you think I want to die?” Kimberly replied flatly.
- Carol clicked her tongue. “What’s wrong with you? You weren’t angry like this at the party. You said you wanted to go home because of a stomachache, but now you seem upset with someone. Did something at Jennisa’s birthday party upset you?”
- “I’m just tired, that’s all,” Kimberly answered shortly.
- Carol took a deep breath and chose not to respond. When Kimberly’s car finally entered the apartment building where Carol lived, she quickly got out.
- “Thanks. Take care, Kim,” Carol said, and Kimberly responded with a brief nod.

- “Good evening, Mrs. Kimberly,” the maid greeted politely as Kimberly entered the mansion.
- “Evening. Please don’t disturb me. I want to go to my room. If anyone contacts me, tell them to call me tomorrow,” Kimberly said coldly, her face showing her irritation.
- “Um, Mrs. Kimberly. Wait. There’s—”
- “What now? Don’t you know I’m tired?” Kimberly snapped, her gaze cold and annoyed at the maid in front of her.
- “M–Mr. Fargo called earlier, Ma’am. He said he won’t be coming home tonight. He has work to do,” the maid said nervously.
- Kimberly exhaled harshly, cursing in her heart. She truly didn’t understand what kept Fargo so busy that he couldn’t even come home.
- “Fine, just let him be. He’ll come home eventually. Please don’t disturb me. I want to rest.” Kimberly continued on to her room. She didn’t want to talk about Fargo. Being left alone like this was nothing new. There was no point in getting angry. Her head was already spinning with all the complications in her life.

- In a luxurious hotel room, two people lay in bed, embracing each other. Both were naked, only a thick blanket covering them. They looked a bit exhausted from their passionate lovemaking, which they had lost count of how many times.
- “Fargo, Kimberly came to see me this morning,” Gilda said, lifting her head from Fargo’s embrace.
- “Kimberly came to see you?” Fargo frowned, looking intently at her, a bit surprised by Gilda’s words.
- Gilda nodded, her face showing annoyance as she recalled the morning’s events. “Yes, Kimberly came to see me. Your annoying wife is starting to get suspicious of us. When will you divorce her, Fargo? I’m sick of her arrogance. She’s always so conceited.”
- Fargo clicked his tongue and closed his eyes briefly, cursing Kimberly for always causing trouble. “I can’t divorce her yet, Gilda. You shouldn’t worry about Kimberly. She’s suspicious because she saw you contacting me. I’m sure her suspicions will fade.”
- “Why can’t you divorce her, Fargo? You’ve already started your own company without your family’s help. You married Kimberly because of an arranged marriage. You never loved her,” Gilda protested, annoyed.
- “It’s not that simple, Gilda. My father’s company suffered losses because of me. I’ve just started a new company. Kimberly also invested in my new company. At least, wait a few more months before I can divorce her. Right now, I just can’t,” Fargo explained, trying to reassure her.
- Gilda’s face looked even more upset at Fargo’s words. Yes, they had been together long before Fargo and Kimberly got married. But Fargo had been arranged to marry Kimberly because their parents had been friends for a long time, and their fathers’ companies often worked together.
- “Hey, are you mad?” Fargo lifted Gilda’s chin and kissed her lips.
- “Get away from me, Fargo! You’d be better off leaving me and going to your arrogant wife!” Gilda tried to push Fargo’s chest away, but he quickly hugged her tightly.
- “I never loved Kimberly. You’re still the best in my eyes,” Fargo said, stroking Gilda’s back and holding her close. “Please, understand my position. I can’t divorce Kimberly right away. Our marriage is still very new.”
- Gilda sighed deeply in Fargo’s embrace. “I don’t want you to belong to that arrogant woman for too long. I’m sick of her. Every time I see her, I want to scratch and pull her hair for taking you from me.”
- Fargo cupped Gilda’s cheeks and kissed her again, whispering huskily, “Kimberly and I are just married in name. I never belonged to her, Gilda. I’m only yours. Trust me, I’ll divorce Kimberly soon.”
- Gilda’s heart softened at Fargo’s words. A smile appeared on her face. She quickly wrapped her arms around Fargo’s neck and kissed him even more deeply. Passion ignited between them. The next moment, Fargo pressed his body against Gilda’s. The two of them kissed wildly and passionately. Once again, they made love as they always did.
