Chapter 28 Suspicion
- There was no conversation between Kimberly and Fargo during the drive from the airport to their mansion. Kimberly seemed reluctant to start any conversation. Fargo focused on driving, while Kimberly chose to look out the window, gazing at the streets of Los Angeles.
- Both of their expressions were cold and seemed as though they didn’t want to be disturbed. Occasionally, however, Fargo glanced at Kimberly, noticing something different about her. This was the first time he had seen her so silent. Usually, at the very least, she would start a conversation.
- “Kim,” Fargo called, snapping Kimberly out of her thoughts.
