Chapter 54 Gilda's Jealousy

• The ringing of his phone jolted Fargo awake from a deep sleep. The handsome man blinked several times before glancing over at Kimberly, who was still sound asleep. He quickly grabbed his phone and squinted at the screen—his eyes widening when he saw Gilda’s name flashing. Fargo was tempted to ignore the call, but he knew it would only cause more trouble if he did. Reluctantly, he slipped out of bed, taking one last look at Kimberly and sighing with relief that she was still fast asleep.
• Quietly, Fargo left the bedroom and headed for a guest room not far away. He answered the call as soon as he was inside.
• “Why are you calling me so late, Gilda?” he asked in a hushed voice.
