- Kimberly’s eyelids fluttered. Slowly, as her eyes opened, the first thing they caught was the yellow glow from the luxurious hotel room lamp. She chose to close her eyes again for a moment to ease the dizziness in her head. She didn’t understand why her head hurt this much. Not only did it ache, but it also felt heavy. Her body was so weak, as if it had no energy left to move.
- When the dizziness subsided, the beautiful woman tried opening her eyes again. Her gaze wandered around, taking in the hotel room where she was staying. Then she turned her head to the side—there was no one there.
- Kimberly exhaled softly, falling silent for a moment. Her memory immediately resurfaced, recalling what had happened earlier. She remembered Damian coming and arguing with her before she eventually lost consciousness. As the fragments of memory flooded her mind, she immediately glanced at the IV line attached to her right hand.
