Chapter 79 Let Us All Leave Together
- Nicholette had been living rough out on her secret ranch on the hills. There were no luxuries or comforts around the tiny house that could remind her of the pampering that she had in her family's house. She barely had any clothes left. Her and Agatha wore rags and pelts from hunted game and of course there were no skin or hair products anywhere. Nicholette and Agatha looked feral, to say the least.
- But at least they had shelter, unlike Theobald, who had wandered around for years. When Nicholette sized him up, it was clear from his matted, burned skin and torn military gear that he had spent that time sleeping under the stars.
- As he picked up signs from Nicholette's hunting ground and approached the cabin, he took the time to shave with a dagger and managed to cut his rebel hair. He washed as best as he could in the same creek Nicholette brought water from. Still, he looked scary, even when he opened his widest smile.
