Chapter 26 The New Silver Devices

• “I don't think I've ever been in here. And I've guarded your House most of my life.” Theobald said, still naked, spent, looking at the ceiling of the tiny tool shed half-turned into a playroom. “And with the overgrown outside…”
• They were both naked, side by side, flooded with happiness hormones, still feeling the warmth of each other's bodies. Theobald consulted the smell in his fingertips and beard. Nicholette was still there, all over him and all over his thoughts. They didn't want to get up, put on clothes and go about as if there was nothing going on.
• “Yes, I know. I had mostly forgotten about this place too. I only remembered when I started doing laps around the house when I came back from the Academy. As I ran, childhood memories started flooding in every corner I took.” Nicholette recanted, as she turned over and laid her head on his chest. “It goes to show what a big rich place it is and how hard it is to defend.”
