Chapter 10 In The Wewolf's Grip

  • Nicholette rose from her tent to find the first timid rays of sunlight glimmering in the droplets of dew in the tall grass. It was cold, but the sun would soon warm them. She shook the crude fabric of the tent next to hers and heard a moan from inside. Luna was waking up and fumbling in the dark to find the tent's exit.
  • Nicholette also woke Marie up.
  • Lillie came from a dozen feet away, where she looked around. It was her shift and she had already been watching the horizon on every side and listening to every sound nature did. With a yawn, Lillie saw her friends rise from a poorly slept night. All of them had gotten six hours of shut-eye, but resting in the woods, so near the enemy border was not easy.
