Chapter 68 Stand Down

• Runa fell back on her ass when she was done. There was blood on her hands, lap and face, where it had eventually splashed from the wounds or where she had scratched herself. The sorceresses were strained from the effort and also covered in blood from helping dress the wounds, but still found breath to chant recovery spells on both men.
• Nicholette recognized some of those words and some of the symbols they evoked in gold sparks in the air, over each wound. Rafe and Theobald lay still on the ground, passed out from the loss of blood. There was hope, but everyone looked at them and at each other in fear. The three werewolves stood near them like gargoyles, watching every move. If Rafe died, those three would make carnage out of the Huntresses camp.
