• It had been a little over half a month since Aurora stormed out of the villa without looking back.
• During these days, my emotions were a complete mess. I couldn’t even make sense of them myself. On one hand, I felt a strange sort of relief—Aurora finally seemed to understand and stopped forcing me to choose between her and Grace. On the other hand, a vague unease kept growing inside me, something sharp and unpleasant, as if she were quietly slipping further and further out of reach.
