• Its front paws dug into the floor as a low, savage growl rumbled from its throat. Blood dripped steadily from its wound onto the expensive carpet.
• Behind me, the three men did not hesitate. Three blinding flashes of light split the room, and in their place stood three powerful, ruthless male wolves. One had a dark red mane that resembled burning flames. Another was gray-black, his body thick with knotted muscle. The last was sandy yellow, with sharp, calculating eyes.
