• The three brothers of the Ginder pack—Yunus, Adam, and Sean—stared at me with eyes cold enough to cut.
• "Lily?!" Sean spoke first. His gaze fixed on my neck like a searchlight, his eyebrows furrowed, his voice strained by something I couldn’t decipher. "What happened to your neck?!" He had obviously seen the still-bleeding marks John had left there, and his face darkened. "Come with me. We’ll take care of this at my place." He reached out his hand toward me, full of strength and authority, as if that terrible scene with Josephine a second ago had never happened.
