Chapter 41
- Aurora’s POV
- Transforming hurt worse than usual. The cracking of my bones twisting blended with the thunder, and when fur pushed out through my burning skin, I almost whimpered. But in the end, a silver-gray wolf stood in the pouring rain, lifting its head to release a long, trembling howl.
- The rain struck my fur like icy whips. I stood beneath the old oak tree outside the villa and stared up as the black night sky tore open again and again with jagged streaks of lightning. Thunder rolled across the distant mountains and shook the ground under my paws.
