But as Lupa sat beneath the shade of an oak tree reading to Anika, she couldn’t ignore the new life stirring within her. She placed a hand on her belly, feeling the gentle flutter of movement, and smiled softly. She was pregnant again, though she didn’t expect it to happen so soon after.

Another couple was also expecting, so the entire pack had gathered, celebrating with laughter, a large feast, and howls that echoed through the forest.
