  • As they enjoyed the early morning sunrays, Lupa and Kali sat by each other on a patch of soft grass, their backs leaning on a large oak tree as they watched the other wolves go about the daily lives. It was a peaceful time, one that they cherished even though there were responsibilities of leadership. But moments like that reminded Lupa that life was more than just about guiding the pack, it was also about cherishing the little things.
  • Kali reached over and squeezed her hand, his warm touch pulling her out of her thought. "You have been quiet," he said, giving her a look of curiosity.
  • Lupa smiled at him, leaning her head against his shoulder. "Just taking it in and enjoying it all. It is nice to wake up like this, no worries or threats.’’
